Court restrains channel from telecasting defamatory news against Salman Khan


Holding that at first sight a news station had telecast defamatory claims against performer Salman Khan, the Bombay High Court today controlled it from telecasting such things. Equity S J Kathawalla was listening to a suit indexed by Salman looking for a composed conciliatory sentiment from Abp News station for telecasting a news thing supposedly defamatory to the performer.


Salman approached the towering court looking for an order on telecast or telecast of such defamatory news things and bearing to the station to either submit a composed expression of remorse or telecast an expression of remorse.

Giving the between time easing of order, Justice Kathawala said, "I am at first sight fulfilled that the Defendants (Abp News) are reveling in television defamatory claims against the Plaintiff (Salman) which are liable to bias the Plaintiff in defence to the pending processes under the watchful eye of the Sessions Court."

The matter has been posted for further listening to tomorrow.

On September 28, 2002, Salman had professedly slammed his auto into a bread shop in suburban Bandra murdering one and harming four other people who were thinking about the pathway. Police said he was under the impact of alcohol. The character was then captured and conceded safeguard.
